BTW, there are two other quirky-small-town made-for-TV crime stories by writer Lane Slate-- "Deadly Game" and The Girl in the Empty Grave." Both star Andy Griffith as the same sheriff character played by James Garner in "They Only Kill Their Masters." All three are available on DVD.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5344878851139332715.post-70283263898064082002015-03-17T23:25:09.694-04:002015-03-17T23:25:09.694-04:00Someone has recently posted on a YouTube several n...Someone has recently posted on a YouTube several nice prints of films shown on the ABC Movie if the Week. It was just a little tv movie, but very well done. Everything just came together right, the believable, engaging characters, the story line, the small town locale. Now that I know it's on youtube, I'll watch it again.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5344878851139332715.post-66514378146029742092012-11-14T14:48:27.701-05:002012-11-14T14:48:27.701-05:00I do vaguely remember seeing this years ago, Rick....I do vaguely remember seeing this years ago, Rick. Wow. You've jogged my memory with this one. I think I might want to watch this again - the Louise Lasser casting intrigues me - don't remember it at all.

I grew to love Alan Alda in later years. He was SO wonderful in THE WEST WING.
