I'd like to see how good it looks because, as you can see from my stills, my DVD copy is less than stellar.sarkoffagushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00922698736476674377noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5344878851139332715.post-22098839277292813482010-01-09T17:50:49.096-05:002010-01-09T17:50:49.096-05:00Sark, I have seen this movie!!! I love a mix of kung fu, mystery, and supernatural all in one movie. IFC has shown this movie before so maybe others who want to see it can check this channel out. It is amazing what you can find to watch on IFC. I could watch movies like this all day...hey, have a marathon of kung fu movies. Excellent post and enjoyed it.Akihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03037507780056714337noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5344878851139332715.post-36241936685148384172010-01-09T12:08:48.750-05:002010-01-09T12:08:48.750-05:00This is a great choice for the Late Night Movie! I would guess the Toad can effortlessly jump. The Scorpion must sting. But the Centipede? Is he the hook in the nose guy? Or is that the Toad (thinking of a toad's abiltity to zap a fly with his tongue)? I guess I am asking for a spoiler because I haven't seen this. I really enjoyed your excellent write-up, Master Sark.toto2https://www.blogger.com/profile/09652682900471649463noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5344878851139332715.post-15670951720841629842010-01-09T09:55:17.978-05:002010-01-09T09:55:17.978-05:00Sark, this is a highly entertaining review and a p...Sark, this is a highly entertaining review and a perfect choice for The Friday Night Late Movie! I haven't seen the original, but have watched RETURN OF THE FIVE DEADLY VENOMS--which was quite entertaining. Was Lizard the one that could crawl up walls (it makes sense because lizards can) and didn't one of them have armored skin (or something like that)? The prolific Shaw Brothers made a lot of mediocre martial arts films, but they also produced some terrific ones. This one certainly sounds like one for the latter category. Wish one of my local TV stations would've shown movies like VENOMS...Rick29https://www.blogger.com/profile/08358116647815569722noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5344878851139332715.post-75821785556051931082010-01-09T00:09:49.477-05:002010-01-09T00:09:49.477-05:00This was one of the films that inspired Quentin Ta...This was one of the films that inspired Quentin Tarantino when he made Kill Bill. I really like this movie a lot. I love the iron maiden scenes--I had no idea what an iron maiden was until I watched this film.Kimberly J.M.
