...Becky, yes John Huston is person #1. Very good!

Do you know who person #2 is? (no, it's not Errol this time....he only had one fist fight with Huston that I know of)

BTW, according to one of the books we have about Flynn, he and Nora were not yet separated because they attended that Selznick party together (where the Homeric battle took place).

The fist fight was supposedly about Olivia de Havilland. Olivia had dated Huston for some period of time prior to this, she was in love with him but he didn't want to get married.

At the party, Errol reportedly said something extremely rude and crude about Olivia to Huston (the author of the book wondered if Errol was jealous??), so naturally Huston hit him, that's what started it.

And yes, they were both sufficiently injured that they needed medical attention.JoAnnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04506998760851891610noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5344878851139332715.post-32489308536265349192011-07-19T16:39:25.804-04:002011-07-19T16:39:25.804-04:00It did help some Paul. Anyway, in David Selznick's yard, Errol and John Huston had a 10-minute fist fight over Errol's estranged wife, Nora Eddington. Both men ended up in the hospital. Epic!
