With the Academy Awards just around the corner, the Cafe's staff thought it'd be a good time to recognize some of the finest classic movie performers who never won an Oscar.

It's hard to believe that acclaimed actresses such as Barbara Stanwyck, Deborah Kerr, and Greta Garbo were nominated multiple times--and yet never won a competitive Academy Award (we're excluding honorary Oscars). It's even more amazing that Vincent Price, Marilyn Monroe, Eli Wallach, and Margaret Hamilton were never nominated.

So, we've taken twenty performers snubbed by the Oscars and placed them in categories based on one of their most famous performances. Yes, we could have easily chosen other worthy stars or selected performances from other films. But, hey, these are our Snubbed By the Oscars Awards!
