As always, please answer no more than three questions per day so more people can play and have fun. Try not to research your answers as it'd be pretty easy to google the plot and get a film's title. Note that all these movies are connected...and it's a pretty obvious connection.
1. A troubled con artist with deep childhood trauma is forced into marriage.
2. A timid young woman marries a wealthy widower and moves into his imposing estate.
3. A French intelligence agent uncovers a Soviet spy ring operating inside NATO.
4. A man wrongly accused of murder goes on the run with the only witness who can clear him.
5. A small New England town becomes entangled in the mystery of a dead man.
6. A respected lawyer defends a beautiful woman accused of murdering her husband.
7. A mysterious killer stalks the fog‑shrouded streets of London.
8. An American crime reporter is sent to Europe on the eve of World War II and stumbles into a sprawling conspiracy.
9. A carefree married couple discovers their union was never legally valid.
10. A bomb on a bus.
11. It takes place in Quebec City in Canada.
12. A phony psychic and her cab‑driver boyfriend get into trouble.
13. A newly arrived Irishman in 1830s Australia who becomes entangled in the dark secrets of a troubled aristocratic household.
14. Is a shy heiress's new husband trying to kill her?
15. The Necktie Murderer.

I could get most of these without a hitch, but I’ll just say 13 is “Under Capricorn,” because I think it’s a film more people should see.

DeleteWell pun! And you are correct, of course.
Delete1. Marnie
ReplyDelete2. Rebecca
3. Topaz
Great job on the first three!
Delete10. Speed.
ReplyDelete15. Frenzy
#15 is Frenzy, but #10 is not Speed. All the movies are connected in some way and that is why Speed is incorrect (even though it's about a bomb on a bus).
Delete7. Hangover Square (1945) and/or Lured (1947)
ReplyDelete11. I Confess (1953)
#11 is I Confess, but #7 is not Hangover Square or Lured. The key to the correct answer is how all the movies are related.
