Hi, I'm JoAnn, Paul 2's wife. Paul is otherwise occupied at the moment with our daughter and asked me to respond.
ReplyDeleteRick, congratulations, that's the right answer for #8! Tom, that's a good guess at Who Am I, but James and Pat actually made at least 9 films together. You are correct on #7 though...it was Wendy Hiller!
#2. Rex Harrison and ??
ReplyDelete#3 Major Barabara (1941)
#5. Eye of the Devil, Separate Tables and Bonjour Tristesse and... i dunnno...
ReplyDeleteHi JoAnn, It is nice to meet you.:)

ReplyDeleteSorry Tom, JoAnn is not here it's ME. OK who are we are not those guys. #1 No, sorry. But you got #4 right.
ReplyDeleteWho Are We: Spencer Tracy and Mickey Rooney? If it's not those guys, then I give up.
ReplyDeleteTom, that's a good guess, but, as far as I know, Spence and Mickey never appeared together in a movie as brothers, and they made at least 5 movies together.
ReplyDeleteJoAnn says don't give up yet!
Frank Sinatra and Fred MacMurray?
ReplyDeleteSorry, Tom, that's not the answer. Those two only made one movie together that I'm aware of; yes, Frank was a priest in that one.
ReplyDeleteoh well. I'm off to bed. Maybe the answer will come to me in a dream. :)
ReplyDelete#9 Was it The Forsythe Saga by john Galworthy?
ReplyDelete#10) Vanessa Redgrave
ReplyDeleteFor #2, it was Wendy Hiller along with Rex Harrison. That's all I've got so far. Another hard one, Paul!
ReplyDeleteFor #1, I don't know if they are the most famous, but they are 2 favorites of mine: Harold Russell and Cathy O'Donnell in "The Best Years of Our Lives" (that wedding made me cry), and Glenn Ford and Bette Davis (as the mean sister) in "A Stolen Life." Am I at least warm? Is Glenn Ford one of the guys?
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking Donna Reed was one of the brides.
ReplyDeleteAre you John Wayne and Ward Bond?
ReplyDelete#1) I think Donna Reed & Barbara Stanwyck are the brides.

ReplyDeleteTom Got that right on Monday night Gilby. Tom, so nothing came to you in a dream about Who are We?
ReplyDeleteWow! Did I fall asleep at the switch or what?!
ReplyDeletePaul, Becky and I each got half. But which half did each of us get for #1?
ReplyDeleteI had some nightmares, but no, the answer hasn't come to me yet. I can't think of any movie where someone plays a priest and another plays a murderer.
ReplyDeleteThis is a hard Trivia Time.
How much longer do we have to guess?
Tom , You have till Sunday, Gilby, You got Donna, and Becks got Cathy. I should never do this before COFFEE!
ReplyDeleteI agree Tom this week's Who are We is tough -- Wayne & Bond were the only pair I could think of for the murderer & priest & it was a stretch(The Quiet Man)
ReplyDeleteTom and Gilby, if you reread the clues and the answer to # 1 it's not really to hard to come up with the answer. Big Hint look at some older post's and Trivia Ttime questions and answers.
